Rozprawa doktorska pomyślna została jako ogólne opracowanie poświęcone Karlowi Krausowi oraz jego czasopismu "Die Fackel". Dysertacja podzielona została na sześć części, które przybliżają postać austriackiego satyryka oraz jego pisma. W części pierwszej przedstawiono przyjętą metodę badawczą, stan badań oraz opisano tło historyczne. W części drugiej zarysowano sylwetkę wiedeńskiego dziennikarza. W części trzeciej dokonano ogólnej charakterystyki czasopisma z uwzględnieniem programu, etapów rozwoju, współautorów, cech języka i stylu. W części czwartej, będącej sercem pracy, omówiono podejmowaną na łamach gazety problematykę. Część piąta zawiera wprowadzenie do recepcji Krausa i "Die Fackel", zarówno za jego życia, jak i po śmierci. Część szósta to podsumowanie.
The doctoral thesis consists of six parts which present the Austrian satirist and his paper. In part one the chosen method as well as current state of research and historical background have been described. Part two brings closer the person of the Viennese journalist. In the third part the general presentation of the paper including its programme, stages of development, coauthors, language and style characteristics has been done. Part four, the main one, focused on the subjects of the paper. Part five has the reception of Kraus and “Die Fackel” as its subject matter. Last part is a summary.
